Curriculum Breakdown: What Super Kids Learn

  • The curriculum is a complete system grounded in five basic principles of healthy living. Our classes teach practical techniques for daily life:

  • Yoga Postures: Develops flexibility, strength, and improves physical fitness.

  • Proper Breathing: Techniques for supplying adequate oxygen and regulating emotional responses to stress.

  • Deep Relaxation: Practices to ease mental strain, reduce fatigue, and restore balance.

  • Mindfulness Activities: Exercises to understand the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

  • Concentration Exercises: Practices to focus mental energy, sharpen attention, and improve memory.

Our structured, mindfulness-based program provides essential skills to help children navigate their busy lives. We focus on four key areas:

  • Physical Wellness: Students develop a healthy body by improving flexibility, strength, and circulation through yoga postures, which are always adapted to individual needs.

  • Stress Management: Through guided relaxation and mindfulness techniques, children learn how to ease worry, prevent emotional strain, and reduce fatigue caused by daily stress.

  • Focus & Concentration: We teach specific exercises to help children focus mental energy and sharpen memory. This makes learning a more efficient process and encourages positive, constructive thinking.

  • Emotional Balance: Proper breathing practices are taught to regulate emotional responses to stress and increase awareness of the connection between breath and mind, helping kids calm the mind during moments of acute anxiety.

Meet Your Yoga Instructor: Raymond

  • Raymond brings a wealth of experience in youth development and certified expertise in yoga to the Super Kids.

  • He completed his rigorous 200+ hour Yoga Alliance Certification at the renowned Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre in Rishikesh, India, focusing on the classical system. To maintain a fresh and vibrant practice, Raymond has also completed multiple teacher training refresher courses in France and further honed his skills working at the kids' yoga camp in Quebec last summer. He currently teaches at a respected yoga studio in Toronto.

  • Raymond's passion for working with children extends over a lifetime; his background includes serving as a swimming instructor, youth counselor, and developing programs abroad. He is committed to fostering a supportive and welcoming atmosphere where every child can connect, learn, and thrive through the practice of mindful movement.
